❖Rates & Payment❖

I accept checks drawn on U.S. bank accounts. I also accept payment through PayPal and Zelle (U.S. Digital Payment Network).

The rates below are based on standard document formats such as MS Office. Rates may be higher depending on the difficulty of the text and formatting. Discounts are available for frequent clients, large volumes of text to be translated, or soft deadlines.

I price your project based on the source (original text) word count, so you know exactly how much your translation will cost before you commit to the project.

Translate text:  $0.10 per source text word.

Edit and Proofread already-translated text:  $0.10 per source text word.

Editing refers to comparing the source text with the translated text to confirm that all the content was translated accurately and to correct any translation mistakes.

Proofread already-translated text: $0.06 per text word.

When proofreading, I correct spelling, grammar, register, and make any other necessary changes to ensure that the translated text reads as if it were originally written by a native speaker of the target language.

Certificate Translation:

Birth, Marriage, Death, Adoption Certificates, Deeds, School Transcripts, etc.: $50.00 per page.

Notarized or certified translations: +$15.00 per document.

In the United States, a certified translation is a translated document with a signed and notarized statement declaring that the document was translated by a professional translator who performed the translation to the best of his or her knowledge and ability.

Pro Bono Work:

As time permits, I offer free translation, editing, and proofreading to non-profit organizations and entities that espouse political, social, or cultural goals that help those who are disempowered or working for equality. I welcome the opportunity to help.
